As spring comes, the COVID-19 pandemic in Wuhan has been controlled and all walks of life are orderly resuming work.
First batch of subway builders return to Wuhan
The construction site of Science Park Station of Wuhan’s Metro Line 12 took the lead to resume work. Dozens of builders returned to Wuhan and began crown beam support and equipment assembly work.
Metro Line 12, a 59.8-kilometer line beginning from Hankou Railway Station, is Wuhan’s first subway ring line. The main body envelope and pile foundation construction have been completed.
The reinforced materials required, as well as concrete and other material supplies, have been prepared for the full resumption of production.
Over 7,000 construction and management workers will be needed for the city’s rail transit construction once the peak is reached, according to the project. Wuhan Metro Group is actively keeping in touch with laborers in Sichuan, Anhui and other neighboring provinces, sending them to the front line of construction through a "point-to-point, one-stop" approach.
600 more companies resume production in Huangpi District
Over 600 companies have successively resumed production in Wuhan’s Huangpi District in the past few days, among 927 which have been approved to resume.
Approved by the district’s prevention and control team, half of the workers have returned to the posts and resumed house renovation work in a key guarantee project for graduate students staying in Wuhan, while the other half are on their way back.
The district has established a company service group, divided into 10 shifts, to help industrial, agricultural and other industries resume work. As long as the company meets the requirements of the documents and submits an application, the district will send people responsible for the review and approval of resumption to ensure a safe work environment.
Other measures such as transportation green channel, district-to-company contact and new financial benefit policies were made to improve productivity.
Express industry returns to work in Dongxihu District
Jieli Express Park, located in Wuhan’s Dongxihu District, resumed operations on Monday.
Strictly following measures such as vehicle disinfection, temperature measurement and information registration, workers resumed their posts, sorting goods and loading trucks.
Large express companies such as SF and JD have resumed operations, trying their best to ensure service.
Tailored bus service facilitates resumption in Caidian District
Benefitting from the cross-city “point-to-point” service, more than 60 people from Danjiangkou City and Macheng City got off the bus directly from home to Wuhan’s Caidian District on Sunday afternoon.
Organized by the district and company, the chartered bus picks up employees from home to work.
After a short welcome ceremony, the employees headed to the factory after information registration, temperature measurement and other processes.
