With the resumption of business of cafes and milk tea shops, citizens in Wuhan started their “retaliatory model” of consumption. According to the data, as of March 26, the volume of Wuhan’s take-away milk tea orders has increased eight times within three days.
These shops were all closed when the city was locked down. It was not until recently that they gradually resumed the business of take-away drinks. Among these stores, Starbucks, Luckin Coffee, Xi Cha, are all loved by customers.
Chen Chang, a take-away rider who kept on delivering food during this special period, said the catering industry is recovering. “These days, more and more shops opened. The take-away orders of McDonald and KFC also increased a lot,” he said.
