China ready to strengthen global vaccine cooperation

China is ready to strengthen cooperation with other countries on research and development, production and distribution of vaccines for COVID-19, Xi said. 

China proposes int'l mechanism of health code mutual recognition

Xi called for the establishment of an international mechanism of health code mutual recognition and welcomed the participation by more countries.

The mechanism should be based on nucleic acid test results and use universally recognized QR codes, he added.

China willing to formulate digital governance rules with all parties

Xi said that China is ready to work with all parties to explore and formulate digital governance rules on the basis of the China-proposed Global Initiative on Data Security.

Strengthening global public health system "most urgent task"

Strengthening the global public health system as well as preventing and controlling the COVID-19 pandemic and other infectious diseases are the most urgent tasks at present, Xi  said Saturday. 

Xi calls for strengthening role of WHO

Xi  stressed efforts to strengthen the role of the World Health Organization (WHO) and advance the prevention of and response to pandemics to build a community of health for all. 

China to help other developing countries with COVID-19 vaccines

China will honor its commitment to help and support other developing countries through making COVID-19 vaccines a public good that is accessible and affordable around the world, Xi said.

Xi urges creating level playing field for sci-tech enterprises of all countries

Xi urged creating a level playing field for scientific and technological enterprises of all countries. 

China's new development paradigm to bring more opportunities to world

China's move to establish a new development paradigm will create more opportunities for countries around the world to share its achievements in pursuing high-quality economic development, Xi said.

Establishing the new paradigm is not to close its doors but to build a new system of open economy of higher standards, he said. 

Xi urges G20 to uphold multilateralism, openness

Xi said that the G20 should uphold multilateralism, openness, inclusiveness, mutually beneficial cooperation, and keep pace with the times.

The post-pandemic world is bound to gain rebirth, Xi said.

He called on the G20 to promote free trade, oppose unilateralism and protectionism, and safeguard developing countries' right to and space of development.

China has fully implemented the G20 Debt Service Suspension Initiative while overcoming its own difficulties, with the total amount exceeding 1.3 billion U.S. dollars, Xi said.
