China is ready to strengthen cooperation with other countries on research and development, production and distribution of vaccines for COVID-19, Xi said. 

China proposes int'l mechanism of health code mutual recognition

Xi called for the establishment of an international mechanism of health code mutual recognition and welcomed the participation by more countries.

The mechanism should be based on nucleic acid test results and use universally recognized QR codes, he added.

China willing to formulate digital governance rules with all parties

Xi said that China is ready to work with all parties to explore and formulate digital governance rules on the basis of the China-proposed Global Initiative on Data Security.

Strengthening global public health system "most urgent task"
