Chinese President Xi Jinping came to Fumin New village in Huanghuatan Ecological Migrants District of Gulang County, Northwest China's Gansu Province, on Wednesday.

Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, learned about the livelihood of the resettled residents, and how they are getting rid of poverty and becoming better off.

He then visited Babusha Forest Farm, inspected the afforestation and sand control efforts and learned about the progress in ecological protection.
