A book of Xi Jinping's discourses on promoting the building of a community with a shared future for humanity has been published in English by the Central Compilation and Translation Press.

The Chinese version of the book was published in June last year.

The book includes 85 expositions on the subject between January 2013 and June 2018 by President Xi, who is also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission.

The book will help foreign readers better understand Xi's thoughts on major issues concerning the future of humanity, such as "what kind of world to build and how," and his profound expounding on key issues including the background, significance, connotation and approach of building a community with a shared future for humanity.
