"In conformity of the nationwide efforts to curb the 2019-nCoV virus and to ensure the health of all runners and attendances as well as the China Athletics Association's notification, the Yangling International Marathon which was slated for April 12 will be postponed," the Yangling Sports Bureau said in a statement.

"A new date for the race will be announced later," added the statement.
