The Chongqing Yangtze River Crossing Tournament 2020 kicked off on Sunday in Chongqing's Wanzhou district, attracting more than 1,500 athletes from Zhejiang, Shaanxi and Hubei provinces, as well as Chongqing.

Events included swimming, paddleboarding and canoeing, over a distance of 2,000 meters. The participants were divided into groups — young men, middle-aged men, senior men, young women and middle-aged women.

Duan Qiong, a member of the Wanzhou Jiangnan winter swimming team, was first to complete the crossing, with a time of 24 minutes and 55 seconds in the young men's group.
