Zhangjiajie restores public transportation

Zhangjiajie, Central China's Hunan Province, began removing all transportation checkpoints on Wednesday morning and restoring public transportation after the city reported zero COVID-19 cases for more than a week, said local authorities.

Since July 29, a total of 72 COVID-19 cases have been reported in the tourist city, which were connected to the Delta variant leaked from the Nanjing Lukou International Airport. Authorities have held 18 officials accountable for ineffective COVID-19 prevention and control efforts.
