An art exhibition of the "King of Pop" Michael Jackson has opened to the public in London and will also hit other cities in the coming months.

German luxury fashion house Hugo Boss, which sponsors the exhibition, in collaboration with the National Portrait Gallery held a cocktail party in London to celebrate the opening of the exhibition "Michael Jackson: On the Wall," attended by Mark Ronson, Adrien Brody, Jamie Campbell Bower, Brooklyn Beckham and Erin O´Connor as well as artists including Kehinde Wiley, Candice Breitz and Graham Dolphin.

The major new exhibition, working together with the Estate of Michael Jackson, is the first to explore the influence of Michael Jackson on contemporary art. It opens to the public from June 28 to Oct. 21, 2018, and showcases the works of over 40 artists, drawn from public and private collections around the world, including new works made especially for the occasion. Featured artists include Andy Warhol, David LaChapelle, Rita Ackerman, Dara Birnbaum, Candice Breitz, Mark Flood, Isa Genzken, Gary Hume, Paul McCarthy, Catherine Opie among many others.

"With his incomparable style Michael Jackson indelibly influenced not only the music scene but the worlds of art and fashion as well. It therefore fills us with pride to have the opportunity of supporting this multi-facetted endeavor as part of our corporate arts program," said Ingo Wilts, chief brand officer of Hugo Boss AG.

The brand will also release a capsule collection in collaboration with the Jackson estate. It includes a new edition of the iconic BOSS suit that Michael Jackson wore on the cover of his game-changing album "Thriller," accompanied by three unisex T-shirts, each featuring iconic moments in Michael Jackson's career. The collection is designed to celebrate Jackson on what would have been his diamond (60th) birthday.

The art exhibition will go to Paris from late November, 2018 to February 2019 and then Germany in March 2019 before moving to Finland in August next year. Representatives from Hugo Boss said they are considering to bring the exhibition and Michael Jackson clothing collection to China, but nothing has been determined yet.
