BEIJING, May 17 (Xinhua) -- Hollywood's "Pokemon Detective Pikachu" continued to top the Chinese mainland box office Thursday, according to the China Movie Data Information Network Friday.

The live-action/animated film grossed 15.73 million yuan (about 2.3 million US dollars) on the day.

It was followed by Disney and Marvel's "Avengers: Endgame," which took in about 8.99 million yuan.

Coming in the third was the Lebanese film "Capernaum," which earned around 5.71 million yuan.
