The Middle House, the latest addition from Swire Hotels, has officially unveiled its newest concept, MI XUN SPA | THE LAB | SHOP, offering an invigorating urban destination for wellness in the heart of bustling Shanghai. The popular concept of MI XUN arrives at The Middle House from The Temple House, evolving into a new, uplifting and cutting-edge health experience apt for Shanghai: LAB Treatment, LAB Wellness, LAB Beauty and SHOP. Spread through 2,600 square meters, guests will find an energizing array of features, from the heated indoor swimming pool to the wellness studio spa treatments and the 24-hour gym facilities. There are also services and treatments co-branded with expert providers, and guests can purchase health and wellness products from a specially curated selection of premium brands at the SHOP.

LAB Treatment is the first hotel destination in China to offer boutique treatments from CHA LING L'Esprit du Thé - the socially and environmentally responsible French-Chinese cosmetics brand, which was developed by LVMH Research in France. CHA LING combines the power of traditional Chinese medicine with the art of French beauty to re-harmonize energy flow and detoxify the skin.

CHA LING combines skilled hands and high-performance products. The CHA LING Signature Body Treatment starts from 90 minutes at 1,280 yuan ($190), with courses designed relevant to the time of day - morning awakening, mid-day vitality and evening harmony. The CHA LING Signature Facial Treatment starts from 60 minutes at 950 yuan ($141), curated to cater to individuals' skincare needs; the morning course focuses on deep cleaning, noon courses are targeted at detoxing and the evening course aims to nourish. The CHA LING "Journey" involves exfoliation, infusion and body and face signature treatments, with an "escape for two" providing a precious moment of quality time with a loved one.
At LAB Wellness, health is achieved through state-of-the-art Life Fitness equipment, an upscale 33-meter indoor heated pool, a sauna and steam room and motivational group classes such as yoga, which are provided in partnership with LuluLemon. The HYPOXI room takes exercise to the next level with hi-tech fat-reduction techniques. The HYPOXI-Method, based on three pillars of alternating pressure, moderate kinetic training and balanced nutrition, has a unique effect of reducing fat from the stomach, hips, buttocks and thighs using the natural principles of lipid metabolism. The HYPOXI Dermatology machine serves to tighten skin, while the HYPOXI Vacunaut & Pressure Suit targets problem areas, and two HYPOXI S120 machines are available for fat reduction in the legs and posterior. To stay hydrated, there are cold-pressed V Cleanse juices and CHA LING teas at the juice bar.
LAB Beauty is the ideal destination for experiencing an array of cool brands and achieving radiant beauty all over. The nail and beauty gallery gives manicures and pedicures with ColorMad nail products and make-up services use Make Up For Ever in order to help guests feel their most beautiful.
