Mr. Behring has collected and made many animal specimens from all over the world, and donated them to a number of museums at home and abroad. His first donation to Shenzhen Museum is on display in this exhibition, including the cheetah, African bush elephant, polar bear, etc. These various and rare specimens are made with advanced technologies, holding great value of collection, research and exhibition. Mr. Behring’s donation greatly enriches Shenzhen Museum’s collection, filling the gap in Shenzhen’s collection of African, American and Oceanian animal specimens.
It lays a sound foundation of exhibits to set up a museum of natural history, and plays a significant role in building an education base of natural science and promoting the popularization of science education.. This exhibition is divided into four areas following the living environment of the animals: Prarie, Desert, Forest and Arctic. Through restoring the ecologic landscape and comprehensively utilizing the multiple means of sound, voice and videos, the exhibition reflects the relationship among nature, animals and human beings. Like human beings, animals have their affective world. They can feel happiness, pain and sadness. We hope you will better love the nature, treasure resources, and care for the common homeland for animals and human beings when you see these lovely creatures.
