GUANGZHOU, South China, June 11 (Xinhua) -- Yang Xu scored to gift China a 1-0 lead against Tajikistan in international friendly here on Tuesday.

Yang broke the dead lock in the tenth minute following Wang Gang's cross from the right side. Yang was later injured and was substituted by Zhang Yuning in the 30th minute.

Wang missed the chance to double the lead in the 33rd minute, only to see his powerful shot went wide of the post.
