New York (People’s Daily) - Internationally recognized Chinese-Dutch designer Sheguang Hu, known in fashion circles everywhere for his boldness of style and imaginative, completely original creativity, showed his AW20 collection in conjunction with Bestune, a leading Chinese automobile brand, at Pier 59 Studios – one of the most prominent New York Fashion Week venues – on the evening of Tuesday in New York City.

Attendees were dazzled by a unique fashion runway show rife with ingenuity and constant surprises, a creative show that stunned the New York fashion industry. That evening, all the models printed their T-shirts with the words "China Stay Strong! Wuhan Stay Strong!" to express the solidarity and support of the New York fashion industry for China's fight against epidemics.

Hu expressed his hope that the collaboration between automobile and clothing design could scintillate the spirit of New York Fashion Week, one of the four major fashion weeks around the world.

The show treated its audience to big surprises throughout. At the outset, Hu overturned the tradition of runway. He appeared together with the world's oldest supermodel, Carmen Dell'Orefice. Their powerful runway appearance amazed the audience the moment the pair appeared.

At the Pier 59 show, Dell'Orefice, adorned in elegant Chinese red lace silk cheongsam personally fabricated by Hu, opened the runway show with him. They were accompanied by specially selected music from well-known DJ Jan Willen from Holland. Hu’s collection not only conveyed the vivid design concept of the show, but also served as an opportunity for traditional Chinese culture and art to integrate with fashion and be presented on an international stage.

The show attracted hundreds of New York fashion experts, hundreds more international media, and leaders from various industries.

As the key figure of the "Fashion Women’s Army,” Hu presented a trophy representing friendliness to supermodel Dell'Orefice, which resonated as a precious moment in the spotlight before international media, fashion personnel, and invited guests.
