Tokyo (People's Daily) - A Chinese film won a prize at the Tokyo International Film Festival, which announced the winners of its competitions on Friday.

The film A First Farewell, directed by Wang Lina, claimed the Asian Future Film Award.

The Asian Future section was created for up-and-coming Asian directors who have directed no more than three feature-length films. 

Eight films spanning from Middle East to East Asia competed for the award this year.
