The central bank of China started issuing a set of commemorative coins to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Reform and Opening-up from November 16, 2018. (Photos: People's Daily App)
The set consists of 7 coins, including 1 gold commemorative coin, 5 silver commemorative coin and 1 dual-color copper alloy commemorative coin, all of which are legal tender of the People's Republic of China.
Both gold and silver commemorative coins have the national emblem of China on the front.
The design on the back of the 150g round silver commemorative coin is a combination of land, sea, bridge and olive branch, symbolizing "One Belt and One Road".
The picture on the back of the 30g round silver commemorative coin is composed of Shenzhen city architecture, Shekou port, pioneer cattle sculpture and ribbons, together with the words "celebrating the 40th anniversary of reform and opening up", and the denomination.
