The Mingsha Mountain Crescent Spring Scenic Area is situated five kilometers south of Dunhuang in Jiuquan, northwest China's Gansu. To the east lies Sanwei Mountain, while Heishi Peak is located to the south, and the Gobi and Kumtag deserts stretch to the west. The mountains here obstruct the sand carried by the west and north winds, causing the particles to gradually settle down and form Mingsha Mountain, a sound mountain range.

Nestled within Mingsha Mountain is Crescent Spring, a crystal-clear spring resembling a crescent moon, hence its name. Visitors can freely explore the area, marvel at the desert landscapes, and immerse themselves in the allure of the desert. This is a place where one can appreciate cultural heritage and experience the ambiance of the ancient Silk Road.
