The Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area Lantern Festival lit up Guangzhou on February 6 with a 2.5-kilometer main route, five themed zones, and hundreds of spectacular lantern installations. From galloping horses and city-flower motifs to sci-fi visions of a digital future, the festival blends tradition with innovation, complemented by a vibrant Chinese-style market featuring over 100 food vendors.

During the day, visitors enjoy cultural rituals, outdoor adventures, and camping experiences; at night, they ride a mini train through immersive light displays enhanced by VR, AI and holographic projections. With nearly a thousand performances and celebrations running through major holidays until May, the festival offers a dazzling journey through culture, technology and urban vitality.
