A Thailand session of the global dialogue themed "China in Springtime: China's Development Opportunities for the World" was held in Bangkok on Friday, drawing more than 200 representatives from political, business, academic and media circles of China and Thailand.

Shen Haixiong, president of China Media Group (CMG), said in a video address that China's development is closely intertwined with that of the world. Noting that new quality productive forces in China are gaining strong momentum, Shen highlighted that China's large-scale AI models have been winning global acclaim, while intelligent robots made a splash at CMG's Year of the Horse Spring Festival Gala, showcasing martial arts in coordinated performances.

Meanwhile, new consumption patterns such as "film + tourism" and "film + cuisine" are energizing the market. As an "oasis of certainty," China continues to foster new development opportunities, he noted.

CMG stands ready to leverage its strengths in world-class integrated communication, technological innovation and rich media resources to better share the outcomes of Chinese modernization with the world. It aims to work with global partners to seize new opportunities arising from China's high-quality development, and build an innovation platform where technology benefits humanity, he added.

Chinese Ambassador to Thailand Zhang Jianwei said China and Thailand celebrated the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations last year, with important consensus reached by leaders of the two countries on advancing bilateral ties.

He noted that China's recently concluded Two Sessions and the outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030) for national economic and social development have drawn wide international attention, offering insights into China's development direction and new opportunities for global growth. China will continue to expand high-level opening up, strengthen its modern industrial system, and advance high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, he added.

China has always been a trustworthy and reliable partner of Thailand. It stands ready to share opportunities and pursue common development with Thailand, advance the building of a China-Thailand community with a shared future to new heights, and deliver greater benefits to both countries and their peoples, he added.

Thai representatives said China's progress in fields such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence and new energy vehicles has brought tangible benefits to ASEAN countries. They expressed willingness to deepen exchanges and cooperation with China and promote sustained development of bilateral relations.

Participants agreed that China's rapid development of new quality productive forces is injecting fresh momentum into the global economy. They called for enhanced cooperation in trade, industrial coordination and technological innovation to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
