Drawing over 2,000 visits a day this summer, the Xinjiang Geology and Minerals Museum has become a family favorite – thanks in large part to its "Little Docent" program, which trains children aged 7 to 15 to guide tours through its 12,000 exhibits. From meteorites to dinosaur fossils, the collection traces 4.6 billion years of Earth's history. Interactive AR experiences and touch-screen games bring ancient artifacts to life, while extended hours until 8 p.m. give families plenty of time to explore gems, fossils and hands-on displays.
