Situated on the Yongding River near Beijing's Garden Expo Park, the Jingyuan Manshui Bridge is a good example of how ecological management and landscape design can work hand in hand. Built in 1966 as a water facility, it has been transformed through careful design and ecological restoration into a welcoming public space by the water. At sunset, with flowing streams and a sky painted in the colors of dusk, visitors can stroll, relax and snap photos – experiencing the quiet harmony between the city and nature.
