The single-use plastic straws have become an environmental hazard. Using non-plastic straws has been touted as the latest in green moves to care for Mother Earth. So, how about giving luxury straws as gifts during the holiday season? (Photos: Tiffany.com)
TIFFANY & CO., a famous luxury jewelry brand, has come out with premium reusable straws. The silver one, covered in rose gold vermeil with a tiny band of the Tiffany blue brand, sells for $375. Another one, with a little monkey, comes for $425.
Maybe the straws from Tiffany are too expensive. Other retailers provide those made of stainless steel, bamboo and even pasta.(Photos: brushwithbamboo.com)
Brush with Bamboo sells a pack of 12 bamboo straws for $20. In the description, it says the bamboo straws are grown organically, artisan-made and 100 percent organic.
The bamboo straw is too common? What about the pasta straw? A company called Pasta Straw, uses the Italian staple food as the material for the drinking tubes. The company advises consumers to end the environmental nightmare by using non-plastic straws. (Photo: pastastraw.com)
