Marvel announces new slate, 10 films and TV shows coming up

Marvel fans, rejoice! Eagerly awaited news about the next superheroes to grace our screens was finally revealed at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday.

Thousands of fans cheered as Marvel head Kevin Feige announced the new Phase Four slate, which will include films and TV shows on Disney's new streaming service Disney+, according to CNBC.

Several posters were also released on Marvel's Instagram account.

Among the upcoming projects, which will be released over the next few years, are spin-offs from the "Avengers" movies like "Black Widow," "Loki" and "Thor: Love and Thunder."

One new superhero however had Asian fans abuzz. "Shang-Chi", Marvel's first Asian superhero is said to be based on Bruce Lee. 

Canadian actor Simu Liu has been cast as the lead character, while famous Chinese actor Tony Leung is said to play the villain.

News of the new Marvel line-up caused a stir among fans in China. The hashtag "Holiday for Marvel's fans" had over 56,000 comments on Weibo.
