Located in the central region of Guizhou, the village was built for those who were relocated in the province’s poverty elimination drive.

To celebrate the most important festival of the year, Miao people there are decorating their new homes in a traditional Chinese manner.

They put paper printed with the character fu, which means good fortune, on doors and windows, and hung festive red lanterns at entrances.
