A new trailer for Disney's Mulan was broadcast during the Super Bowl on Sunday. Directed by Niki Caro, the live-action remake stars Liu Yifei, Gong Li, Donnie Yen, Jason Scott Lee and Cheng Pei-Pei.

The original animated version was released in 1998 and earned US$304.3 million worldwide. It also received an Oscar nomination for original score and two Golden Globe nominations for its music.

The story is based on the Chinese legend of Hua Mulan, a brave woman who dressed like a man and joins the Chinese Imperial Army instead of her father. She fights in battles to protect her family and the country.

The final Mulan trailer included more footage of battle sequences and the title character’s time training in the army. The film will hit theaters on March 27.
