Five Beijing parks have required real-name ticket booking to crack down on scalpers during the epidemic.

Jingshan Park, Taoranting Park and Yuyuantan Park have joined two other parks in Beijing to demand real-name purchasing of tickets, according to the Beijing Municipal Administration Center of Parks.

"We found that some scalpers bought the tickets and sold them at higher prices, which undermined people's interest in visiting the parks," said Zhang Yahong, deputy director of the center.

Three scalpers received punishment in early April for buying tickets with multiple phone numbers and reselling the tickets at much higher prices, according to Beijing's public security bureau.

The center plans to put scalpers on a blacklist and bar them from entering Beijing parks.
