Residents from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan entitled to public employment services in Beijing

Residents from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan will be integrated into the public employment and entrepreneurship management service system in Beijing, the Beijing Business Daily reported Tuesday.

The Beijing Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security released a notice regarding public employment and entrepreneurship services in the city. 

Starting from December 1, residents from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan seeking employment or to start businesses in Beijing are eligible for services such as employment and entrepreneurship policy consultation, career pairing, career introductions and business guidance from public employment service agencies at all levels, the notice said. 

The service covers people who have a residence permit for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents, Hong Kong and Macao residents traveling to and from the mainland or Taiwan residents who travel to and from the mainland.

Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents can, in accordance with the local regulations, apply for unemployment benefits from the nearest community social security agency with valid identity documentation.

The Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and the Personnel Labor and Social Security Bureau of the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone attach great importance to offering employment and entrepreneurship services to the these residents and  providing high-quality and efficient public employment and entrepreneurial services to them, the report said.
