Sinan Mansions, a century-old compound in downtown Shanghai, is currently hosting a nightlife festival which features a night market, an art carnival and late-night dining options.

The festival, which kicked off on May 22, is divided into six sections, namely Home Life Market, Midnight Diner, Sinan Arthouse, Open Air Music Party, Reading Night and Outdoor Museum Night Tour.

More than 80 vendors selling home products, domestic fashion apparel, handicrafts and art-inspired merchandise will be participating in the night market.

The event organizer has also invited renowned chefs with Michelin stars under their belt to set up food stalls during the event. Existing restaurants at Sinan Mansions have extended their business hours and prepared special menus for the festival as well.

The Sinan Arthouse will be providing a free pop-up exhibition in the mansion featuring collections from five contemporary art galleries in the city, including AIKE, Capsule Shanghai and Danysz Gallery.

The festival will last through June 21.
