Bangkok (People’s Daily) -- Chinese New year marks the beginning of a new cycle in the Chinese calendar and Chinese and Sino-Thais place great importance on celebrating this festival in the traditional way.

King Power, a leading lifestyle destination beyond its duty free business and with the motto "Explore Endlessly”, offers travelers the opportunity to enjoy a celebratory ambience with "King Power Chinese New Year 2019 the Blissful Harmony".

King Power has turned its premises into an ancient Chinese inn, "Rong Tiuem" in Thai, where travelers can sample a wide variety of delectable dishes created by famous restaurants. Visitors can also enjoy a dazzling show and ask for luck and prosperity in the 12 months to come from the popular Gods of the Chinese New Year brought to Bangkok especially for this occasion.

Visitors can also marvel at shows including a Chinese mask-changing opera (an ancient Chinese dramatic art), a Chinese fan dance, a Chinese puppet show featuring the Seven Angels Dance, and a Chinese musical performance. And, of course, there are plenty of products for sale and activities bringing good luck and fortune, as well as special promotions at fountain square, King Power Rangnam.

King Power is hosting more than 50 booths offering foods and desserts in 3 zones decorated in Chinese market style. These are home to such famous restaurants as Oh Ki Satay (Pork Satay with Peanut Sauce), Yoo Look Chin Pla Yaowarat (Fish Ball), Hoi Tod Chao Le (Oyster omelette), Nai Chia Kao Lad Yaowarat (chestnuts), Khao Kha Moo Trok Soong Bang Rak (stewed pork leg with rice), Gui Chai Talad Plu (Chinese steamed dumplings), I Tim Khai Kaeng Saint Louis (Frozen Eggs Ice Cream), and Wan Por Dee Chiang Mai Khanom Wan (desserts).

In addition, visitors can shop for fashion and jewelry from Andre Jade Accessories, Aclaire Stingray Jewelry, Leila Amulets, and ISSUE shops.
