'The Sacrifice' continues to lead China's daily box office

BEIJING, Nov. 2 (Xinhua) -- War film "The Sacrifice" continued to lead China's daily box office chart, generating over 58 million yuan (about 8.6 million U.S. dollars) Sunday.

This brought the film's total box office revenue since its Oct. 23 release to around 709 million yuan, figures compiled by the China Movie Data Information Network showed.

Set in the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea (1950-1953), the film is co-directed by Guan Hu, the director of this year's blockbuster war epic "The Eight Hundred."

"Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna," a Japanese animated film, ranked second, grossing 20.38 million yuan Sunday.

Coming in third was "My People, My Homeland" which raked in 17.29 million yuan Sunday, with its total box office revenue topping 2.69 billion yuan.
