Award-winning actor Tom Hardy, known for his roles in blockbusters like Dunkirk and Star Wars: The Last Jedi, will have his latest film Venom hit Chinese theatres on Friday (Nov. 9).

The premiere of Venom took place in Beijing on Sunday, seeing lots of fans queuing to take a picture in front of a new poster with the journalist portrayed by Tom Hardy.

Venom also contains Chinese characters in some scenes, a common practice in recent American films which target China, the world's second-largest market for films.

The 3D version of the film will be available in about 500 IMAX theatres around China.
