Video: Flashback of award-winning Chinese movies at the Venice Film Festival

As the Venice Film Festival kicked off Wednesday in Venice, Italy, the juries will decide the destinies of this year's crop of film contenders. Two Chinese films will screen at this year's festival. Chinese writer-director Pema Tseden's Jinpa will screen Orizzonti (Horizons) in the competition category while director Zhang Yimou's Ying (Shadow) will screen in the Out of Competition category.

Venice has always been the land of fortune where Chinese directors, actors and movies have won numerous awards. The People's Daily has produced a short feature of award-winning movies.
