World No. 1 Fan knocked out of table tennis worlds

BUDAPEST, April 25 (Xinhua) -- Liang Jingkun of China knocked out the world top-ranked compatriot Fan Zhendong in the men's singles round of 16 at the World Table Tennis Championships here on Thursday.

The score were 5-11, 11-4, 11-8, 11-9, 8-11 and 11-7.

Chinese Xu Xin, ranked No. 2, bowed out on Wednesday, losing to Simon Gauzy of France.

Gauzy will take on former Chinese Wang Yang who plays for Slovakia late in the day.
