Import and export volume of Southwest China's Sichuan province with countries and regions along Belt and Road routes reached 118.77 billion yuan ($17.68 billion) in the first three quarters of 2018, up 28.4 percent year on year, according to the statistics released by Chengdu Customs.
The province's trade volume with Indonesia, Bangladesh and Oman surged by 120 percent, 110 percent and 200 percent, respectively.
In the first three quarters of this year, Sichuan's export of mechanical and electrical products increased by 36.9 percent. Exports of high-tech products increased by 34.3 percent. To be specific, its automobile exports surged by 3.8 times.
In terms of imports, the proportion of its high-tech product imports during the period further increased.
