BEIJING, May 28 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks opened flat on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.07 percent to open at 2,890.26 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index opened at 8,979.58 points, the same as Monday closing.
