DALIAN, Jan. 13 (Xinhua) -- Soybean futures opened lower Wednesday in daytime trading at the Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE).

The most active No.1 soybean contract for May 2021 delivery dipped 5 yuan (about 77 US cents) to open at 5,871 yuan per tonne.

China is the world's largest soybean importer.
