BEIJING, May 6 (Xinhua) -- China's major stock indices ended lower in the morning session Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.22 percent at 3,439.12 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index lost 1.82 percent to end at 14,176.3 points at midday.
