One new positive COVID-19 case was reported in the Yuexiu District of Guangzhou, capital of South China's Guangdong Province, local authorities said on Friday.

The person who tested positive for the virus is a staff of a quarantined hotel and in quarantine for medical observation as a close contact of a local asymptomatic COVID-19 case.
