As of Friday at 8 am, 55,278 people connected to three local COVID-19 cases confirmed Thursday in Shanghai have tested negative, according to local authorities.

Among them, 182 close contacts and 337 secondary close contacts have all been placed under centralized quarantine.

Meanwhile, 29 samples collected from related personal items and the surroundings among a total of 1,260 samples have tested positive for COVID-19.
