Globally, as of 2:45 pm CEST on Saturday, there have been 26,468,031 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 871,166 deaths, reported to WHO.

The outbreak has now claimed the lives of at least 188,538 people in the US, the most of any country. The US also leads the world in the number of confirmed infections with 6,245,866, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 3:28 pm BJT on Sunday.

Brazil has confirmed a total number of infections to 4,123,000. The death toll grew to 126,203.

India has confirmed a total number of infections to 4,113,811. The death toll grew to 70,626.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Russia have increased to 1,017,131 with 17,707 deaths.

It is followed by Peru with 683,702 infections and 29,687 deaths, Colombia with 658,456 infections and 21,156 deaths, South Africa with 636,884 cases and 14,779 deaths, Mexico with 629,409 cases and 67,326 deaths and Spain with 498,989 cases and 29,418 deaths.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Argentina have increased to 471,806 with 9,739 deaths.
