Meng Wanzhou, Huawei’s chief financial officer, returned to a Canadian court for a hearing on Monday.

This is Meng’s first court appearance since May. In this eight-day hearing, her defense team will seek more information and documents about her arrests at Vancouver airport in December. 

A Huawei spokesman said it would “not be appropriate” to provide detailed comments at this time, but reiterated the belief that the Canadian judicial process will ascertain Meng’s innocence.

Previous court records showed Meng’s extradition hearing is set to begin in January 2020.
