Danxia, Yardang and Karst landforms are the three most common terrains in China. They are the result of different types of erosion, combined with geological structure and climate change. These landforms decorate the earth with a unique landscape that any other area pales in comparison. These photos take a peek at places in China that well represent the characteristics of the mentioned landforms.Yardang landform is a typical artwork of wind erosion.

It features ancient castle-like structure with many ridges and grooves and is common in northwest China. Dunhuang Yardang National Geopark is located in China's Gansu Province. The area contains 77 huge rock formations in sculpted shapes that give an honest representation of Yardang landform.
