Spring Festival is coming, and hundreds of millions of Chinese will either return to their hometown or travel around the country. With the help of big data, Ctrip, China's largest online travel platform, shows the footprint of the Spring Festival travel rush.
The visualization order system of Ctrip is based on the analysis of LBS geographical locations and presents user's footprints.
About 2.98 billion trips are expected to be made during the 2018 Spring Festival travel rush between February 1 and March 12, according to China's top economic planner.
It shows plane ticket orders in real time. Shanghai and Hong Kong are the busiest departure and arrival cities.
It also shows train ticket orders in real time. Beijing and Taiyuan are the busiest departure and arrival cities.
It shows hotel orders in real time, with Shanghai topping the list.
