At least 10 dead after a 42-seat bus fell into a river in a village in West Bengal, India on Monday, local media reported.
The bus driver lost control as the vehicle was speeding, NDTV said. The bus was packed with around 50 people.
The state government-owned bus fell into the Ajay river on its way from Karimpur in Nadia district to Berhampore in Murshidabad.
Only seven people were rescued under the efforts of the local government, other passengers remain missing.
The government has ordered a thorough investigation.
