Cairo (People's Daily) - On February 15, the Cairo Tower, an architectural landmark of the Egyptian capital, was illuminated red in celebration of the Chinese Lunar New Year.
A lighting ceremony was held on Zamalek Island where China's ambassador to Egypt, Song Aiguo, and Egypt's Minister of Tourism, Rania Al-Mashat, were both in attendance.
Chinese artists from Sichuan province performed a fusion blend of traditional Chinese music, acrobatics, and magic tricks during the ceremony.
