The unmanned submersible "Hailong 11000" completed its first sea test in the western Pacific Ocean, entering the 410-meter-deep sea area.

Members of the 45-day scientific expedition team check the submersible before it is immersed in the sea, on March 30.

The submersible is lowered into the sea on March 30. It will complete an 11,000-meter-deep sea test in three years, according to the China Ocean Mineral Resources R&D Association.

The submersible surfaced after completing the experiment on Mar.30.
