China to set plan for the State Council Institutional reform

The first session of the 13th National People’s Congress(NPC), China’s national legislature is to deliberate on the institutional reform plan of the State Council. 

Reform plan proposes to cancel 8 ministerial-level institutions and 7 vice-ministerial level institutions. There will be 26 ministries and commissions under the State Council.
