Las Vegas (People's Daily)- Chinese high-tech companies are making an impression at the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) this week in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Around 1,300 of the 4,500 show exhibitors are from China, just behind the US with 1,600, including Chinese online retail giant Alibaba, telecom giant Huawei, Internet giant Baidu, according to information from the Consumer Technology Association, the show’s host.
Many start-up companies have also joined to present new products and technology. Some 500 companies alone have the word“Shenzhen” on their name from the Chinese manufacturing metropolis where many global gadgets are manufactured.
Chinese companies bring not showcase conventional electronics but also advanced high-tech devices. Smart is a buzzword - smart cars, smart watches, smart mirrors, smart shoes, smart home and smart city.
