Mount Hua, the westernmost of the Five Great Mountains of China, is famous for its notorious plank trail.
It is considered one of the most dangerous hikes in the world, attracting plenty of visitors every year.

Recent snow has made it even more dangerous, and the scenic area has been shut down for visitors.
Zhang Dongdong is among the cleaners of Mount Hua. He lives in the mountain with his colleagues.
He said it takes more than an hour to clean the plank path with his colleagues every time.
But Zhang believes there’s plenty of fun in doing it, and does not get scared of the height.
“Though it is a little bit cold in winter, I am delighted to enjoy the scenery of Mount Hua every time we get out of the room,” he said.
