Delta Airlines apologized on Friday, saying it recognizes the seriousness of issue after criticism from China for listing Taiwan, Tibet as countries on its website.
It said, “We have adopted urgent measures to correct the mistake on our website. We are deeply sorry for hurting Chinese. China is one of the most crucial markets for us. We are committed to providing better service to Chinese clients.”
However, this announcement was posted only in simplified Chinese. But Taiwan is still listed as a country on the airlines' map list.
